Roxanne's Tip

Pack what you will use - not what you will need

Pick the suitcase you think you need for your trip, choose your clothes, accessories and essential items and pack it then weigh it.
Take another suitcase half the size, then challange yourself to reduce your contents by half the volume and half the weight. Tips: use Mantra freebies, plan to air or wash out clothes, limit to one pair of shoes, share select items with other travel companions, go without (do I really need that umbrella or extra charger as Mantra has them), plan ahead (eg. will I need buisness clothes), choose items with double up function (eg. clothes that can be day, evening and semiformal with a minor accessory), eliminate all might need items. Final tip is to plan for loosing your suitcase and determine essential items to replace - you can then further reduce your items.
If you do this you will still come home with unworn clothes and unused items, save yourself money with extra baggage costs, make travel lighter and easier.
