Before going to unknown destination or hotel I never have been - I'm researching it and reading visitors reviews from trusted sites (like tripadvisor.com). Never trust glossy magazine ads or sales pitch offers about poor quality bad hotels. This would save me from lots of trouble and deliver really enjoyable and hassle-free holiday.
