Make a PERMANENT list of things to take on your travels - tick them off as you pack!!!

Do a pre-travel check of where you plan to travel to - using sites such as the SMH, Smart Traveller (Australian Gov) etc.

Take an un-locked mobile phone with you - buy a SIM in the country you're visiting!!! This generally works out to be the cheapest option.
